Functions and tasks
To organise, develop, manage and
run the city's posts and telecommunications network for the sake of both business interest
and public services as per the development plant assigned by the Vietnam
Posts and Telecommunications
Corporation (VNPT).
To ensure smooth flow of
information and communications catering the leadership of the Party and Government offices
at all levels and to meet the communications demands in the social and economic life of
different sectors and people in the Bac Giang province and elsewhere so that yearly
targets assigned by the higher level can be achieved.
To design & install exchange
systems, telephone cables, facsimiles and radio & data transmission equipment.
To do business on equipment and
materials used in posts & telecoms business and other registered fields according to
the laws.

Bac Giang is situated on North - East of HaNoi Capital. Total area is
3822,5km2 , locating from West to the East, linking mountain - forest Viet Bac
with the Red River Delta. The North and North - East are bordered to the Lang Son
province, East and South - East to the Quang Ninh province, South to the Hai Duong
province, South - West to the Bac Ninh province. Bac Giang geographical situation give a
good opputunity for the socio - economic development. Bac Giang is located on industrial
triangle zone Ha Noi - Quang Ninh - Hai Phong. Having land routes, shipping routes,
railway give a good chance for communications and transport. Natural geographical
situation is economic potentiality, waiting for exploitation.

There are 3 main rivers (Cau,
Thuong, Luc Nam rivers) are flowing
throughout territorry of the province.
1A Highway is running throughout
province, linking Ha Noi to the North border of Lang Son - China. Total length of Bac
Giang highways is 588 km.
Population is 1.459.370, average
density is nearly 382 residents/1km2 . there are 9 fraternal nationalistics.
Strong forces of Bac Giang focus on development of small scale industry, industrial
trees, fruit trees and trade services.
