VNPost recently signed the cooperation contract in international remittance service with several country members of Eurogiro international finance system as: Switzerland, France, Philippines, Belarus through the Eurogiro Local System (ELS).
Accordingly, VNPost deployed the service with France from 1 November 2009 and with Philippines from 15 November 2009. Moreover, the service to these countries will be done by the network through the system of Eurogiro, so it will minimize the time, the cost and improve the quality service as well. From now, it takes only 2-3 days for the international remittance as compared with 20 days as before, the representative of VNPost said.
VNPost became the member of Eurogiro Payment Network from 28th July 2009. Eurogiro is the banking, finance – standard electronic payment network which can meet the demand of professional financing transactions of Post, Banks and Finance Institutions. With the outstanding functions in payment, Eurogiro has 50 members, of which there are 41 posts and 21 banks. Besides Eurogiro has the cooperation relationship with FED, VISA Europe (Visa Direct), SWIFT, Western Union, ING Bank, Deutsche Bank... Before joining to Eurogiro network, Vietnam has participated in International Finance System (IFS) of Universal Postal Union (UPU)./.
