On May 28, Minister of Information and Communications (MIC) Le Nam Thang worked with NTT DoCoMo senior executive vice president Masatoshi Suzuki. Mr Masatoshi Suzuki said that NTT DoCoMo regarded Vietnam as a strategic market, and expressed the hope of long-term cooperation with Vietnam operators. NTT DoCoMo is giving consultation on 3G value added services and carrying out the supports on staff training for VinaPhone. Mr Thang also suggested NTT DoCoMo to support Vietnam networks to promote digital content and value added services.

Mr Thang confirmed that Vietnam will push-up the privatization in telecoms sector, including mobile networks. MIC also encouraged the networks to cooperate with big experienced groups like NTT DoCoMo to develop the Vietnam potential telecoms market./.
