The Posts, Telecom and IT Mountainous High School  in Thai Nguyen ( under the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group-VNPT) has organized the opening ceremony in post-telecom and IT training for the minority ethnics pupils of the poorest districts Sin Ho and Muong Te ( Lai Chau province). This is belong to the general plan worth of VND 200 billion of VNPT in response to the Resolution 30a by the Government.

Participating to this program, 35 pupils who has the minimum qualifications from the 9 grade and above will be trained in post, telecom and IT for the duration of 6 months with the training expense up to VND 700 million, supports 100% of food and accommodation expenses and equips with the basic knowledge in post and telecom services exploitation, PC and service formalities  at the village post office and cultural points.

VNPT is one of the first enterprise to deploy the concrete activities in order to realize the Resolution 30a of the Government regarding to the poverty reduction for 61 poorest districts nationwide. According to the agreement signed with Lai Chau People’s Committee, VNPT will invest VND 200 billion for socio – economic and cultural development in Muong Te and Sin Ho.

According to the roadmap, in 2010 VNPT will continue to fund for constructing charity houses, investing in medical public infrastructure , training local medical staff and giving medicines to the residence in two districts.
