The historical floods has caused seriously damages to the people in Central provinces, especially in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh. The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has raised the Contribution Ceremony for supporting to the floods victims and responded to the “ Day for the Poor 2010”.
VNPT’s General Director Vu Tuan Hung headed the delegation to visit and hand over VND 1.5 billion to the flood victims in Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces and VND 310 million to the VNPT’s staff in 3 mentioned-above provinces. Before, VNPT has supported VND 150 million to the people in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh right after the first floods on 7th October.
Other member units of VNPT such as Vietnam Data Communications Company (VDC) has cooperated with Vietnam Television to start the SMS program donates for the victims in Central provinces, the Central Post Office has donated VND 30 million, VNPT Hanoi VND 130 million, Mobifone VND 259 million, VNPT Dong Nai VND 180 million, the Post and Telecom Insurance Company VND 200 million with an aim to help people quickly recover after the natural disaster.
