On December 30, 2025, the National Forum on the Development of Vietnamese Technology Enterprises – Make in Viet Nam 2025 took place in Hanoi. At the event, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) introduced a series of impressive AI technology products.
At the Forum, VNPT AI, a subsidiary of VNPT, made a strong impression with demonstrations of an AI Robot and the iKnow solution, which guides citizens through administrative procedures and is capable of interacting directly with users through voice-based interactions. Notably, the robot can operate 24/7, enabling people to complete procedures even on holidays or outside office hours, as illustrated in the demonstration scenario.

Speaking at the Forum, VNPT Chairman Tô Dũng Thái stated that Vietnam is entering a pivotal stage of development in which digital infrastructure no longer merely plays a supporting role, but must be viewed as a core technology product – “Infrastructure as a Product” mastered and led by Vietnamese enterprises.
VNPT has gradually mastered the XGSPON fixed broadband ecosystem, thereby maintaining its position as the number one fixed broadband provider in Vietnam. Currently, VNPT’s network serves approximately 8.5 million endpoint devices, including ONTs, set-top boxes, WiFi, Mesh devices, etc., forming a synchronized digital infrastructure platform for households and businesses. In parallel, VNPT provides home security camera solutions, with data stored and processed domestically, ensuring data safety and sovereignty.

A next-generation telecommunications operator is not measured by the number of subscribers, but is defined by its digital infrastructure capacity, core data assets, and its role in connecting the national digital ecosystem. On that basis, VNPT affirms its capabilities through three pillars: mastering smart digital infrastructure; mastering data and core technologies; and pioneering the role of orchestrating the national digital ecosystem.
In addition, VNPT does not aim to do everything itself, but instead focuses on building platforms and connecting an open ecosystem, enabling businesses and society to jointly participate in exploitation and development.

At the Forum, leaders of the Government and the Ministry of Science and Technology presented flowers in recognition of VNPT’s positive contributions to technology development. VNPT was assigned the task for 2026 of mastering core technologies for edge AI product lines, completing production processes, and manufacturing 1,000 AI laptops.
In particular, the mineral resource management system – VNPT iMineral won the Bronze Award at the Outstanding Digital Technology Product Awards in the field of agriculture, natural resources, and environment.
