This is the first hospital in the country to use VNPT's software for electronic medical records, marking a turning point for the implementation of VNPT's IT healthcare services in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector. Electronic medical records help patients avoid the hassle of storing various types of documents such as diagnosis results, test results, medication lists... Patients no longer have to worry if they lose their test results because all of their information is stored in the software system, and they don’t have to be confused when reading the handwriting of nursing staff and doctors as they did in the past.
In addition, the electronic medical record particularly supports patients undergoing treatment for chronic conditions or high-risk diseases such as diabetes, hypertension/hypotension, arrhythmia, and elderly patients, as they can easily compare each laboratory result and the outcomes of regular health check-ups.The implementation of electronic medical records at Lac Viet Hospital has been ongoing since August 2022, having undergone 3 consultations with experts from the Ministry of Health. The software has had to be modified to meet the requirements of professionals in the field.
